Paul S. Galeotos, Senior Municipal Judge

 

Judge Paul S. Galeotos, graduated from the University of Wyoming in May of 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government. He subsequently attended the University of Wyoming and earned his Jurist Doctorate in May of 1971.

Judge Galeotos was employed as a Law Clerk to the U.S. Circuit Court Judge John Pickett from August 1971 until August of 1972. From 1973 to 1978 he was a partner in the Law Firm of Beaman and Galeotos. He served as Attorney for the House of Representatives, Sate of Wyoming from 1973 to 1978. Judge Galeotos was appointed as a Municipal Court Judge, City of Cheyenne in March of 1974 and has served as Court Commissioner for the Laramie County Court since October of 1979.

Judge Galeotos attended the Wyoming Supreme Court Seminar for Judges of Limited Jurisdiction Courts in 1977, 1980 and 1983; National Judicial College, Traffic Court School in 1979; Eight National Conferences on Juvenile Justice sponsored by National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges in 1981; Institute for Court Management, Managing Limited Jurisdiction Courts in 1982; National College of Juvenile Justice, Dispositional Alternatives for the Serious Juvenile Offender in 1982; and National Judicial College, Small Claims Specialty Courts.
